The Full Story

A journey of rhythm, heritage, and the relentless pursuit of artistic excellence across three decades.

01. Roots & Heritage

A Legacy of Fado

Born May 30, 1977, in Bremen, West Germany, Marco Da Silva was born into a symphony of Fado. His Portuguese parents were renowned singers of the genre, ensuring that melody and melancholy were the backdrops of his childhood.

Before the global arena tours, Marco spent years as a member of a traditional Portuguese folklore group. This connection to his roots provided the technical discipline and soul-deep rhythm that would later define his modern choreography.

02. Sound & Vision

Beyond the Movement

In 2000, Marco bridged the gap between dance and music as a solo artist. His cover of the Ritchie Valens hit "La Bamba" achieved chart success in Germany (Peak #72) and Switzerland (Peak #68), staying on the charts for several weeks.

This vocal era paved the way for his 2010 album "M", proving that his artistic expression knows no boundaries—whether through the lens of a camera or the frequency of a microphone.

03. Entrepreneurship

Building an Empire

In 2005, Marco founded Eightcounts Entertainment. It wasn't just an agency; it was a mission to represent the highest caliber of dancers and choreographers in the industry.

Now based in Los Angeles, Marco operates at the intersection of business and art. From judging on Popstars and You Can Dance to starring as Eddie in the global musical Mamma Mia!, he has built a legacy that transcends the stage.
